銘 Mei

Mebuki

In the mountains, the firm, young buds of the trees become suppler and new leaves first start to appear. As well as green shoots, beautiful red and soft yellow shoots emerge and before long, the fresh notes of spring are resounding from all around. This mei is filled with a sense of hope.

Mebae

By the roadside, footpaths and in gardens, precious, petit leaves are starting to sprout from the trees and shrubs. Bulbous species, too, are sprouting up form the earth. This mei refers to these treasures of nature. It is therefore a mei that filled with a wonderful sense of hope.

若草 Wakakusa

As new growth sprouts in the fields, the colours of withered grass changes to fresh, young green. In the warm sunshine, the tiny wildflowers of the field grasses also start to blossom.
